Sharon, PA, Aug. 28, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mercer County’s fall farm season returns in September with corn mazes, outdoor attractions, seasonal food and family entertainment at Coolspring Ranch in Mercer and Irons Mill Farmstead in New Wilmington.

Coolspring Ranch will open its 2026 fall season on September 11, marking its 22nd year of fall activities. Irons Mill Farmstead also plans seasonal activities beginning in September, with events and entertainment scheduled throughout the fall.

Together, the two farms give residents and visitors another reason to explore Mercer County during September, October, and early November while pairing a farm outing with local restaurants, shopping, outdoor recreation, and other seasonal attractions.

“Every fall, our farms create moments that become memories…families laughing in corn mazes, friends sharing seasonal food, travelers discovering new corners of Mercer County. These experiences strengthen our tourism season and encourage visitors to stay longer, explore deeper, and connect with the communities that define our county,” said Carmen Aiello, President/CEO of VisitMercerCountyPA.

Coolspring Ranch Opens Its 22nd Fall Season September 11

Coolspring Ranch, located at 537 Franklin Road in Mercer, will celebrate its 22nd fall season from September 11 through November 1, 2026.

The ranch is scheduled to be open from 4 to 10 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. It is also scheduled to be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Columbus Day.

The centerpiece of the fall experience is a 12-acre corn maze designed and cut by the ranch. General admission also includes a variety of family attractions, including a hay maze, hayride, pedal tractor racetrack, jumping pads, slides, Corn Box, Hay Mountain, Honey Bee Zip Swing, and barnyard games.

Visitors can also meet Miss Tillie, the ranch’s Scottish Highland cow, and see the ranch’s goats.

General admission is currently listed at $15, with children ages 2 and younger admitted free.

Some activities require tokens in addition to general admission. Token attractions include the Cow Train, gemstone mining, mechanical bull, obstacle course, pony rides, Pumpkin Blaster, and pumpkin painting or carving.

Seasonal food is also available throughout the fall season, including ranch-raised Black Angus burgers, fresh-cut fries, pizza, chicken tenders, kettle corn, caramel apples, and homemade donuts.

The Schoolhouse Shop is open during the ranch’s fall hours. Admission is not required to visit the shop or purchase pumpkins.

Irons Mill Farmstead Offers More Than 40 Outdoor Attractions

Irons Mill Farmstead, located at 252 Greenfield Road in New Wilmington, offers a corn maze and more than 40 outdoor attractions across its 150-acre property.

Attractions include jumping pillows, playgrounds, slides, apple blasters, tractor rides, Pumpkin Village, a hay castle, zip line, obstacle course, Corn Pit, animal feeding, and duck races. Attraction availability may vary by date, weather, and operating conditions.

The farm also presents scheduled entertainment throughout the season, including dance parties, story and character programs, interactive activities, and pig and duck races.

Irons Mill promotes ten eateries across the farm, while its visitor-planning information notes that guests may also bring their own food and nonalcoholic beverages. Food-location hours and availability may differ from general farm hours.

What Visitors Should Know Before Going

Because corn mazes and many farm attractions are outdoors, weather conditions may affect hours, surfaces, and attraction availability.

Visitors are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Cornfields and farm properties may include gravel, grass, mud, uneven ground, and other unpaved surfaces.

Before leaving home, guests should confirm:

  • Operating hours and weather status
  • Current admission prices and ticket requirements
  • Which attractions are included with admission
  • Parking, pet and outside-food policies
  • Accessibility conditions and available accommodations
  • Special-event schedules and participation requirements

Coolspring Ranch posts weather-related closing information through its social media accounts and allows only fully trained service dogs on the property. Its grounds primarily consist of gravel and grass, and accessible restrooms are available.

Visitors to Irons Mill Farmstead should review its online calendar, ticket options, and daily entertainment schedule before selecting a date.
