About Candace C. Singh
Candace C. Singh is a filmmaker with a decade of experience spanning Wall Street’s most demanding institutions. At Goldman Sachs, Singh progressed from analyst to associate to vice president in consecutive years before moving to JPMorgan Chase to conduct due diligence on alternative investments.
Following a personal turning point during the pandemic, Singh started her transition into filmmaking and leveraged her corporate experience to found her own film production company, Emerald Tree Filmworks. She wrote, directed, produced, and acted in her first professional short film, “Once a Man, Twice a Child” while working full-time at JPM. The short is a dark comedy inspired by Singh’s own experience advocating for her father during medical appointments. While working in the corporate world alongside colleagues across Europe and Asia, Singh discovered that many of her international co-workers quietly shouldered similar caregiving responsibilities yet often felt their experiences were misunderstood through a Western lens. That shared frustration sparked Singh’s mission to increase representation of and destigmatize alternative family structures, including those in which young adults live with and care for their parents.
Based in New York, Singh is now a full-time auteur specializing in directing, film production, writing, and content creation. Singh’s professional journey reflects adaptability, leadership, analytical rigor, and a commitment to storytelling. Audiences curious to see what Singh is building can follow along on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, where she shares glimpses into her world and creative process.
Singh holds a B.Sc. in finance and economics from New York University.
