Season starts on Nov. 26; new first-time lesson packages and advance-booking discounts launch today
ASPEN, Colo., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Aspen Snowmass, the mountain experience brand of the Aspen One portfolio, announced its scheduled opening and closing dates for the 2026/27 winter season, as the countdown to winter begins across its four mountains. The resort is launching new lesson packages designed to help guests learn to ski or ride and save when they plan trips in advance. For those considering a season Pass, skiers and snowboarders can also lock in current pricing for Aspen Snowmass Passes through Sept. 18, before prices increase on Sept. 19.
Aspen Mountain and Snowmass are scheduled to open for the season on Nov. 26, 2026, followed by Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk on Dec. 12. The 2026/27 season is scheduled to run through April 4, 2027, at Buttermilk, April 11 at Aspen Highlands and Snowmass, and April 18 at Aspen Mountain, as conditions allow.
Aspen Snowmass is launching new packages, available today, to give guests more ways to experience and save. The 3-Day First Time Lesson includes everything a beginner needs — lift ticket, lesson, and rental equipment — and upon completion, guests qualify for complimentary ski access and rental equipment for the rest of the season. New this year, the Lesson + Lift Ticket Bundle expands to adults and seniors, offering discounted lift tickets ($174 for adults, $86 for seniors 65+) when purchasing group lessons. Additionally, early booking discounts reward guests who plan ahead: book lift tickets 30 days in advance and save up to 25%, or 7 days in advance for up to 20% off. Rental discounts follow the same timeline — book 30 days ahead and save 20%, or 7 days in advance for 10% off.
Aspen Snowmass debuted an expanded Pass lineup for 2026/27, offering a range of options for guests to access more than 5,700 acres of terrain across Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass.
Prices on all Passes increase on Sept. 19, giving skiers and riders until Sept. 18 to purchase Passes at current rates. Current pricing includes savings of $400 on the Premier Pass, $230 on the Weekday Pass and the Alpine 2-Day Pass, and savings of up to $100 on the new Flex Pass, depending on the number of days selected.
The Premier Pass offers unlimited skiing and riding across all four mountains with no blackout dates, along with a variety of Passholder benefits including discounts on friends and family lift tickets, Ski & Snowboard School, Four Mountain Sports rentals and tuning, dining, and retail.
New for 2026/27, the Flex Pass offers four to seven days of skiing and riding across all four mountains with no blackout dates. Guests select the number of days that work best for their season, and days can be used at any point throughout the season, without the need to be consecutive. The Flex Pass is designed for guests seeking more flexibility in how they access Aspen Snowmass. The deadline to purchase a Flex Pass is Oct. 30, 2026.
Also new this season, the Weekday Pass provides unlimited Monday-through-Friday access with no blackout dates, along with weekend access from Opening Day through Dec. 13, 2026, and weekends beginning April 5, 2027, through Closing Day.
The Alpine 2-Day Pass returns for 2026/27, offering two days of skiing and riding each week, Monday through Sunday, with no blackout dates.
All passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Unused days have no cash value. Guests who wish to protect their purchase may elect to purchase pass insurance at checkout.
