Toronto, Canada November 04, 2026 --(PR.com)-- 3dEYE, the cloud video AI platform, today launched AI Search, which lets security, operations and monitoring teams find moments in recorded video by describing them in plain language or showing a visual example. Instead of scrubbing through hours of footage, users type a simple description such as “someone propping open the emergency exit” and jump straight to that moment on the video timeline.

Traditional video analytics detect only what they were set up for in advance: a person crossing a line, a vehicle entering a zone, a count passing a threshold. Anything outside those rules goes unnoticed until someone reviews the footage by hand. AI Search understands the whole scene, so users can ask about situations no rule was ever written for:

“Tents going up in the parking lot”
“Water pooling on the warehouse floor”
“Worker on a ladder with no one holding it”
“Person carrying a TV out the side door”

A security manager can type a description such as “person in a hoodie carrying a backpack,” or select an image as a visual reference to find similar moments. AI Search works across scene changes, behaviors, people, vehicles and objects.
That makes it useful for incident investigations, safety reviews, loss prevention and operational audits in construction, logistics, retail, property management and municipal operations.

“I've been very impressed with the new AI Search feature and find it extremely useful. It makes locating objects and events much easier and significantly reduces the time spent reviewing footage. I definitely see it adding value to our Surveil 360 offering, particularly when demonstrating the platform's capabilities to potential clients. Features like this help us differentiate our services and open up new opportunities across industries. I appreciate the continued improvements 3dEYE team is making to the platform and look forward to seeing what comes next,” said William Bastian, Managing Director at Zann Industries.

With AI Search any search can become a standing alert: users describe what matters once, in words or with an image, and 3dEYE notifies them the moment a match appears.

Alerts can include time and count conditions, such as “car blocking the fire lane for more than a minute.” Every search becomes a watchlist that works around the clock.

For security and IT integrators and video monitoring providers, AI Search adds a high-value service they can offer across their customers’ existing camera base. Their customers get faster answers when something happens and hours of review time back.

AI Search is available now to all current 3dEYE customers as part of the Advanced Analytics package. Search-based alerts are offered as an add-on. Partners and prospective customers can learn more or request a demo at www.3deye.ai.
